Don’t let the plastic fool you – it’s made of industrial grade Nylon 6 (an aluminum alloy alternative) and has aluminum components that make it one sturdy piece of gear. To make it easier for you on the ground and in the tree, it has been redesigned to require no tools for installation. Its ability to handle dynamic and semi-static line make it a useful and accommodating tool that is meant to make your hours in the tree more efficient.

Cheap plastic construction, resistant to adjustment. Creates more problems than it fixes.
Great option for lanyard management
Device works really well, great for longer lanyards and quickly managing the slack. Only downside with the K1 Keeper is that it’s pretty easy for branches to grab the extra length of your lanyard and pull it through the device, leaving a big loop of lanyard behind you.
Great for long lanyards
I love the K1 Keeper for my 12’ lanyard so I don’t have to worry about my tail end getting caught up or touching primary power lines.
Very effective for longer lanysrds
Efficient and effective lanyard management. Can easily run a 20’ lanyard without it getting in the way. I have the original made before Teufelberger bought it and it still works great. Down side is if you have a splice on both sides, it has to be taken apart to be installed on the rope. Only takes 5 min but still just another step.
