Pretty Decent, Velcro Not the Best
I climb in the southeast and even in the peak summer I have barely noticed my saw strapped to my leg. The airflow and padding are perfect. The only thing I don't like is the velcro which starts to fray quite a bit after only a few uses.

I’ve come back around to this Notch Talon because it offers more padding than the sawpod… but like the other reviewer said, it’s better for taller people.
Not very good
Had bad experiences with the Notch Talon as it fell apart after one week and notch wouldn't honor warranty. However the Velcro straps were still usable just not the rubber piece
good choice of a handsaw mount
These Notch Talon mounts are very comfortable to wearing around your leg or even with spurs on. the mounts stay with your legs and move with you. They also look very professional to the outside world such as customers. The one thing I really love about this setup with a silky saw is that it holds back my rope from hanging down at might feet for a potential spiked rope

I use this for my Silky saw to place it on my leg. I use to just clip in onto my lanyard but it was nicking my lanyard more than I would like. The Notch Talon is very easy to setup. There is a gap between your leg and saw to help air flow.
Really the best.
In my opinion this is the best leg mount. For shorter people I think the saw pod is a better option, because this one connects more where the saw says than how long you leg actually is. Kind of a pain to install at first, but good once it's all set.
