I love this thing
I got the longest version which really adds to the veratility. Super smooth, supplied rope pairs well with it
The best!
Easily my favorite piece of kit. The rope it comes with sucks but it's a sooth flip line. The ability to use it as single line when needed is unmatched
It's not even close!
I would venture to say that anyone who has actually used this will tell you it is by far and away the best positioning lanyard they've ever used. I've used most of the rope grabs, and all manner of prussik with pulley tenders. Nothing else comes remotely close. The biggest benefit in my mind (and the biggest advantage over everything else) is just how easy it is to take up slack with one hand. It's like that perfect pull that you sometimes get with a pulley/prussik lanyard, except it happens that way every single time. Wish I could buy just the hardware and install on my backup lanyard. Might be worth buying two!
The best!
Best adjuster for my flip line I have used. It’s expensive and the rope it comes with sucks. But still well worth it!
I waited way to long before getting one!!
I will tell you don't wait any longer. If you spend alot of time in the tree, the Petzl Zillon is a must have!!! Makes life so much easier in so many ways! Trust me when I say this will be your go to every time you climb!
"OH MY"!!
I mean...I was SO impressed with my ZigZag and then to find this gem!?!... I picked this Petzl Zillon up and it is every bit impressive as I experienced with my initial ZigZag trial...
Super Smooth
Awesome combined with the petzl snap. Love how smooth the Petzl Zillon gives and takes slack out. Only complaint is the design can get pushed in pretty easily in thick brush or certain angles will collapse it against my harness. Not a big deal but the sudden movement can catch ya off guard.
Stop here buy now!!!!
This changes the game for lanyards. Smooth as glass just like a zigzag. Paired with Eashook and it’s game on. The Petzl zillion just makes sense if you want it to work every time all the time.
Great adjuster.
This is a great adjuster, and easy to use, and great for letting out rope under tension to stay under control, but that yellow rope isn’t paired very well with the Zillon, and it seems like Petzl should sell the Zillon separately, or at least put a rope in there like their Petzl Flow or Petzl Control, which don’t get as fuzzy and hard resistant to tending as the rope they put into the Zillon. It’s handy, but hitchcord and a triple or double attachment pulley is cheaper and gives you more options and can work just as well. Also, the guys at Arbsession have proven to do some good hand-splicing for their ropes, making it easier to pull a rope lanyard out of a tight space, compared to the larger area around the sewn eyes of ropes like this, which can come in handy.
Best Lanyard Adjuster on the Market
What the Petzl Zillon surrenders to setups like the pinto pulley in versatility, it makes up for in sheer smoothness. While it doesn't boast any secondary attachment points, it's the smoothest and fastest deploying lanyard adjuster on the market. It makes lengthy prunes in large trees a breeze.
