High price for what?
I bought this Petzl Vizen face shield for my Petzl Vertex helmet, and it was pretty easy to install with the helmet clips it came with. However, the function of the shield leaves a lot to be desired. First, there are cheap plastic buttons you have to press on both sides (using two hands) to release the pivots from lock position. Who has two hands to put their visor down when running a saw? Next, those same two buttons are what you press to remove the visor. So, sometimes when you press the buttons, the visor pops off the helmet mounts completely and you have to fight with it to click it back on and make sure the buttons are not pressed anymore! This was frustrating because sometimes the pivots have trouble finding their locking position when pulling down into working position. At times, one side will lock, but the other side doesn't and comes off the mount entirely. If I became that frustrated just trying to use the thing at home, I can't imagine how much of a pain it would be out working. Honestly I'm not sure why this visor is $75; the mounts should be aluminum at a minimum for that price! I don't think I would buy this again even if it were $15. It just requires way too much messing around. I will be attempting to return.

I was very excited when I saw that this accessory was available for my petzl vertex helmet. The Petzl Vizen mesh shield comes with 2 special attachment points that go on your helmet, then the screen attaches to those points. Takes less than 5 minutes to assemble. I like how it keeps the wood chips out of my face.
