Petzl Naja Friction Saver
The Petzl Naja friction saver is easily retrievable from the ground, with an integrated pulley and a strap with different adjustment positions.
Designed for tree care, the NAJA friction saver allows the work rope to be set up without damaging the tree. The strap has four different adjustment positions to adapt to different branch diameters. Rope ascents and movement in the tree are optimized due to the high-efficiency pulley which facilitates rope glide at the anchor. The included retrieval ball makes the system easily retrievable from the ground.

- Two-person use is possible for carrying out a rescue - System is easily retrievable from the ground:
- 21 mm black retrieval ball, specially designed for the NAJA friction saver, for easy retrieval from the ground
- Once the rope has passed through the pulley, the system can be retrieved when the retrieval ball becomes blocked in the MINO accessory carabiner
- Strap and slots are slim to reduce the risk of getting the friction saver stuck in the tree - The NAJA friction saver allows the user to work in compliance with the ANSI Z133 standard

I think this is the prettiest retrieval method of any friction saver out there, the pulley wedge thing is well engineered. Least amount of material going through the union during retrieval. Other devices are great for having a larger/continuous range of adjustment, where his one only has the four slots. This is a well designed device that I will continue dedicating time to. For SRS the interface at the pulley is very nice for a spiked jam knot, and the reduced friction facilities removal through a cano-base anchor and/or redirects. Great example of a Petzl product being uniquely… Petzl.
Useful
Great for young tree prunes, especially maples. The strap does not get stuck in tight unions during retrieval where a ring would.
