The Petzl Ascentree is a handled ascender designed for doubled rope ascents. It has overmolded handles allowing a comfortable and powerful grip. The wide openings allow easy handling with gloves and the safety catch is totally integrated into the frame of the Petzl Ascentree to prevent accidental snagging.

- Simple to use, and effective ergonomic overmolded handles allow a comfortable yet powerful grip

- Toothed cam with self-cleaning slot optimizes performance under any conditions (frozen or dirty ropes)
- Lower hole for connecting a PROGRESS lanyard
- Upper hole for clipping a carabiner around the rope

Great for rope grab when ascending!
Instead of hand over hand when ascending with my ZigZag, I use this double for grasping and advancing my hands in unison...Love the Petzl Ascentree!
Perfect to save your hands
I like using this when I am climbing double rope. The Petzl Ascentree makes it so I don't have to grab the rope with my hands and it makes it nice having a soft handle to grip and climbing is more enjoyable. I like using stuff that makes it a bit easy on the body and joints.
Hand saver
The Petzl Ascentree make long ascents MUCH easier on the hands. The double handed versions are a bit bulky to stow away after, but are worth the bulk.
