It's a chunk of leather with a nice thimble in the palm.
Not much to say about it. It does one thing, and does it well. I can mash the needle through the rope much easier now. I'll probably treat the leather with baseball glove oil or something to help it mold to my hand, but other than that, the Osborne Sail Palm is great.
