The KONG Duck is a compact accessory rope grab with a clever carabiner hole. The Duck should not be used for primary life support, but it can be helpful as an accessory device in a range of tree climbing scenarios.

Great as a bridge adjuster
I bought this rope grab specifically to use as a bridge adjuster on my Monkey Beaver saddle. It works super well to shorten up my bridge when I need to keep it close to my body, and then let it back out when it want some extra reach. It is rather hard to give yourself slack under load, but that’s exactly the point of it, so you just have to shorten the bridge enough to move the grab, and then you can hold it open with a thumb and let your bridge extend. I have simply zip-tied my adjuster to my saddle, and my bridge has a stopper knot on it so that if the adjuster fails the bridge will still be stopped by the rigging plates of the saddle. Overall this is a great product. It’s small, it stays out of the way, and I don’t have to think about it until I need it, it just works.
