Rock solid with lots of uses
High quality, lightweight, compact, sturdy, and versatile all come to mind when I think of these. Super useful with or without the captive bar for lots of applications. I like using mine for double bagging, on my chest harness, or as a lightweight clip on my chainsaw lanyard. One of the best micro-'biners out there.
Great for saw leash teather.
So I was running the auto lock version of this biner on my saw leash, but the angle going to the bottom becket of my Notch Swinger makes disengaging the auto lock super awkward. This little guy, especially with the aid of its captive bar fits perfectly, is perfectly secure when you want it to be and comes right off when you need it to. I learned the hard way not to entrust single action accessory connectors to secure your most valuable piece of motorized cutting excellence. Very Versatile Accessory Biner
This tiny carabiner has countless applications. The addition of a captive bar makes the DMM XSRE especially useful where crossloading is strongly undesirable. I have these on my chainsaw lanyard and as connection points between my saddle and chest harness.
Perfect for lots of little things
This DMM XSRE carabiner is useful for quickly and easily connecting a chainsaw lanyard to a small saw, setting on a tending point for a Rope Runner, Zigzag, Wrench, pulley, etcetera. Very tough little connector and the captive bar does its job keeping it properly aligned when it matters.
