I like the original
This one is larger and im not convinced that it tends slack better. The original hitchclimber had zero issues.
Good
This hitch climber is directional. There is an up and down to it. Make sure you don’t have it upside down. Other than that it works well and will hold up.
Pretty darn good.
Little too bulky compared to the og, and sometimes harder to get a biner in the middle hole if the other 2 are occupied. But, very nice with a rope wrench and a quickie.

Very nice upgrade from the normal triple attachment pulley.
Foot Locker’s Best Friend
I learned SRT without access to a knee ascender, which made me a mutated footlocking SRT climber. My undisputed favorite system was the zigzag+ & chicane until a co-worker quit and left behind his eccentric pulley to try . When you connect a rope wrench/chicane to DMM’s classic triple pulley and tend. Y pushing from below, the pulley’s angle changes, adding a lot of drag which is not a problem with the flared eccentric. I can’t attach a photo, but the classic shows rope wear on both fair leads while the eccentric shows rope wear only in the narrow top fairlead. If you ever slack tend a rope wrench by pushing up from below (in tree short ascent maneuvers), this is your kind of hitch pulley

The Golden Pulley
I have two of these bad boys and any other micropulley can’t get the time of day from me. Beautiful curves and rope safe edges, there’s nothing better. From rigging high lines to alternate lanyarding it can do all kinds of things. The fair leading flares seem like just a theory until you run a pulley without them again and boy you’ll miss them. Most of the anodizing is gone at this point and the pulley still doesn’t squeak.
Tends smoothy
This is a nice piece of gear. Quality is what you have come to expect from DMM and this pulley delivers. Hard to say with any certainty whether or not the flared fairlead helps with tending but it looks nice and runs smoothly. Pairs well with the arbsession Caralink tether.

This pulley is so smooth and it tends really well.
Ok
This review in NOT a dig on the quality of this pulley. More so the redesign (ie: the orientation of the 3 holes). They are more in-line now, which can make it difficult to get a carabiner in the middle hole (especially on double line). That being said… the redesign of the flares (larger opening)for tending rope is phenomenal.
