Yale Blue Moon 11.7mm Climbing Rope
Yale Blue Moon is larger in the hand with the same peak performance you expect from Yale. A true 11.7mm diameter that combines the lightweight characteristics of 11mm ropes and the more conventional sizing of the 1/2″ climbing lines. Blue Moon incorporates Yale's 24-strand Tite-Braid cover that virtually eliminates cover milking. The braided- lament polyester core creates a firm rope that provides superior working-flex service life without work hardening.
Please Note: The cover on most new double braid ropes will stretch during the first few weeks of use. The excess cover should be cut off. For this reason, Arbsession doesn't recommend putting two eyes on a brand new double braid rope.

EN 1891 is a standard that applies to low stretch kernmantel ropes. Blue moon falls into a 24 stand double braid category. Ropes that would fall into that EN 1891 category would be in the static rope section of our website.

Been using for 2 years
This has been my go to rope for about 2 years now. I use it with a Petzl ZigZag and it has been holding up really well for me!
Great Rope
I was skeptical at first because of a few reviews I had read in the internet. While most were positive, I’m usually the one who finds the exception. Not in this case. I absolutely love the Yale Blue Moon 11.7 mm rope. I’ve been climbing on it for several weeks and find it’s excellent quality, easy to climb, is smooth and reasonably supple. It’s easy to tie and hasn’t had any milking as of yet. I’m using on both MRS and SRS and it works equally well with both. I’m using friction hitches as well as Mechanicals on it and accepts both without problems or slipping. Just what I’d expect from a quality workhorse lifeline. Not sure I could find a rope I like better. Thanks for the recommendation.
My First Climbing Rope
This was my first climbing rope that I purchased myself and not provided by the company. I absolutely love this rope!! Everything about it from the color, how smooth it is in mechanicals and it's knotting ability is top notch! Definitely recommend this rope if your looking for one!!

My Favorite Rope
I use this with a rope runner pro. No cover milking, runs super smooth with minimal flattening. Will always be my go-to rope for SRS.
Everyone cant be wrong
I use this and hyperclimb as my 2 ropes, this is a little more supple in my opinion, slighty more bounce. Great all around rope, even use it natural crouch from time to time, still holding up good.
good all around rope
The Yale XTC-24 Blue Moon is a great all around rope. I climb both srt and drt on it. it knots extremely well and is very durable. I climb mostly natural union and haven't had any issues. Im running both a zig zag and an akimbo on it and both work vey nicely.

This Yale XTC-24 Blue Moon rope does everything you could need of it and it does it all well. I’ve climbed on it for almost a year now and I’ve loved everything about it
Works great with the Unicender
This rope runs very smooth with the Unicender. It also holds up pretty well, even with using natural crotch tie in points. Yale Blue Moon knots well and is light and durable.
Yummy
This rope is super sexy… smooth with mechanical devices and with prusiks. Yale Blue Moon is fantastic for MRS and SRS. Feels great in the hand, and knots amazingly well. This rope can do no wrong.
Very size for both MRS and SRS
I use this Yale Blue Moon rope for both systems and I like it. I have also cut a few feet off it and made a lanyard.

Nice rope
Works very nicely through my zigzag. Yale Blue Moon is easy enough to grip with my hands. Doesn't stand up to a chainsaw very well :D, but when I nicked it, I replaced it with the exact same thing.

This rope does it all and takes the abuse! Yale Blue Moon is hard to beat!
If you use a Zigzag, this is your rope
Yale 11.7 and The Zigzag are a match made in heaven. The size is just perfect for bare hands on rope without causing too much hand fatigue, and the jacket plays beautifully with the linkage on the Zigzag. Not a big fan of Yale Blue Moon for SRT, but it can still pull it off. If you're looking for a one-size-fits-all rope, this would be a top contender.
Will buy as long as Yale makes it
My favorite rope. Yale Blue Moon is static enough to climb and work srt and has a little give in it to make it great for ddrt. 11.7 is a little more forgiving on my hands than the smaller lines without it being too heavy to pull through the tree. If I could only have one line, this would be it.
