Depends on how you are using the uSAVER. If you are using the large ring and the pulley you would simply tie an overhand knot and that would pass through the large ring and catch on the pulley.
If the pulley is through the large ring installed at the top of the tree you would girth hitch (with a couple of wraps turing it into a prusik) on the retrievel ball about 2-3ft from the end of the rope. This will slip through the pulley and get stuck on the small green ring at the end of the sling.
Very smooth
Wanted something nice for those up and down trees when I’m on MRS. This works very well. Very smooth, easy to set up, and just like all friction savers recovers easily when done right. Keep in mind when retrieving, the thing is heavy. Accidentally put a hole in a plastic shed cover which the large ring. Boss isn’t as big of a fan of it as I am. But it’s my elbows getting worn out going up and down, so I love it. Would buy again, and would climb to retrieve if it gets stuck in the tree. Because don’t lie, we have all thought about or just left a stuck friction savers in the tree after a poopy climb.

Guys I bought this instead of the Teufelburger pulley saver and I completely regret it. The large ring is very susceptible to getting stuck as well as having difficulty getting the pulley to come through upon retrieval even if you have oriented it and tested it for success while setting up. Just spend the money and buy the pulley saver, you’ll thank me later ????????

This is a great product. I bought the 8' version and it has proven to be very useful when paired with the Spiderjack3 and the Unicender. Arbsession.com did a great job splicing it and they got it out to me the day after I ordered it. This uSaver is fairly easy to set remotely and fairly easy to retrieve remotely as long as you aren't running it through a tight crotch. I don't know the next evolution of friction savers will bring but it will have to be mind-blowing for me to replace this one. Very happy.
